If you are a preacher who wants to grow in your ability to communicate the word of God in an engaging and life-changing manner, you need to come along to our Ministry Matters Preaching Seminar.
This event is for Pastors, Ministry Workers, Theological Students and Ministry Trainees involved in preaching and teaching roles. This full-day seminar will focus on application in preaching and includes a session where we will work on a recent talk we have given.
You’re invited to join us and be equipped to communicate the word of God in an engaging and life-changing manner and encouraged in your work.
Dr Capill is Principal of Reformed Theological College in Victoria & Lecturer in Pastoral Ministry. Murray is originally from New Zealand where he pastored a church in Auckland for 10 years. He came to Australia in 2001 to teach part-time at RTC and continue in pastoral ministry in the CRCA. Since 2006 he has taught practical theology full-time and in 2008 he became the Principal. He is the author of Preaching with Spiritual Vigor (2004) and The Heart is the Target (2014). Murray is married to Wendy and they have five children and two grandchildren.

The morning includes two sessions from Murray entitled Application: the Heart of Preaching, along with a Q&A time. After lunch, Murray will run a session entitled Application That Connects to Our Culture, and further time will be devoted to workshopping the recent talks brought by each attendee. Murray will end the day with a session entitled Going Deeper with your Application. The afternoon will also include input on making application helpful for women.

Trinity House is conveniently located closely to the Leederville train station and easily accessible by car with ample paid parking options available close by.
The Leederville Station overpass feeds directly onto Oxford Street. Keep left on Oxford Street, then turn right into Newcastle Street. Walk along Newcastle Street till you get Trinity House on your left (632-634 Newcastle Street). This is about a 5-minute walk.
Ticketed parking bays are available along Newcastle Street. Alternatively, your closest paid parking areas would be either the Avenue Carpark (just off Leederville Parade) or the Frame Court Carpark (60 Frame Court). From there, walk through to Oxford Street. Turn right into Newcastle Street. Walk for about 5 minutes along Newcastle Street till you get Trinity House on your left (362-634 Newcastle Street).
