9 May: Trinity Enrich Conference      13 May: Info Night

Trinity Enrich Conference 2026

Saturday 9 May
9am – 3:30pm
Trinity Theological College

Trinity Enrich Conference aims to enrich and equip women serving Jesus at their churches. Whether you’re a Bible study leader, kids’ church teacher, pastor’s wife, or serving in vocational or volunteer ministry, Enrich Conference is a great opportunity to be encouraged and enriched by Bible talks, interviews, practical workshops with experienced ministry workers, and connecting with like-minded women from across Perth and WA.

Main Speaker: Celeste Boska

This year’s speaker is Celeste Boska, who will be speaking on 2 Corinthians 4, “Seeing is Believing.” Celeste works for the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES) and is based at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle. She spends her time meeting with women to read the Bible, and encouraging and training Christian students to live for Jesus. She’s from Perth, but really she’s a country girl stuck in the city. Celeste is married to John and they have two kids in primary school. She loves all kinds of art and craft, the outdoors, and reading the first half of books.

Workshops

There are two opportunities to attend workshops during the day. On the registration form, please select your preferences for which two you’d like to attend.

Choose two of the following workshops:

1) Maintaining Spiritual Freshness

How do we maintain a faith that is vibrant, alive and growing? In this workshop we’ll be thinking about seasons – the seasons of life, the cycles of each year and the rhythms of each week – and how to maintain spiritual freshness through all the seasons and over the long haul. Along the way Meredith will share four amazing bits of life advice, given to her by four very wise women, that have stood her in good stead for maintaining spiritual freshness over many years.

Meredith van der Klip is a trained primary school teacher but these days works part time as a primary school chaplain with YouthCARE. She is married to Ben (who graduated from Trinity in 2002) and together they serve at Kelmscott Anglican Church. Meredith loves helping women to read all of the Bible, running Bible study groups and teaching kids about Jesus. In her spare time she likes reading, writing and drinking tea with friends.

2) Beyond the Walls: Keeping the Great Commission Front and Centre

In Matthew 28, the call is clear: Go and make disciples of all nations. But how do we keep that global heartbeat alive at church when local needs are so pressing? Join a panel of women for an honest discussion as they share stories, the joys, the hurdles of keeping the Great Commission the forefront for everything we do at church.

Mel Sharp recently returned to Perth after serving overseas for 18 years. She continues to serve in a leadership capacity with her mission organisation, bringing nearly two decades of global experience to her work. Mel thrives in collaborative spaces and is passionate about bringing people together through small group facilitation. She is married and has three adult children.

3) Starting a One-to-One

Reading the Bible one-to-one is a great way to disciple in many different contexts: e.g. discipling a new Christian, wanting to grow in our own faith alongside another, or encouraging someone through a difficult time. In this workshop, we’ll explore what a one-to-one can look like—what you can read, how to discuss the passage, and how to shape it for different people. We’ll also practise doing a one-to-one together, so you can feel confident to start a one-to-one right away!

Emily Shaw is a Trinity graduate who now works part-time at Providence City Church, coordinating the Thursday Morning Women groups (mums/women’s growth groups), and assisting with growth groups at the church. The rest of the time she’s raising her three young children with her husband Rob. She first experienced one-to-ones at UWA Christian Union and has had the joy of being in one-to-ones with many women since.

4) How to Individualise a Bible Study Book for Your Group

Published Bible study guides are a great resource, but the authors don’t know your Bible study group. This workshop will give you guidance, tips and case studies about how to use and modify a written Bible study book so that it better fits the learning styles, biblical literacy levels, time frames and attention spans of the people in your Bible study. It will also cover recommendations about various series of bible study guides available from Christian publishers.

Cheryl Waldron has been leading Bible studies for women on-and-off for the last 25 years. She loves to help women learn to read and understand the Bible and how that enables them to love and follow Christ. She is married to Matt and they have three children, two cats and a snake. She is part of Three Crosses Church in Willetton.

5) Singleness in Vocational Ministry

Being single in vocational ministry brings with it particular challenges and opportunities, both within the ministry and in life more broadly. Combined, Clare and Eryn-May have over 30 years of experience in both church and parachurch ministries, so they are well placed to help us think practically about addressing the challenges and persevering through them, as well as making the most of the opportunities. This workshop is clearly most suited to single women who are in or heading into vocational ministry, but may also benefit married women working in teams with single women.

Clare Deeves works on the ministry staff team at Kallaroo Anglican Church, particularly with the 10:15am and 5pm congregations. She also lectures part-time at Trinity, teaching Christianity in History and has completed her PhD on working relationships between women employed in complementarian ministry teams and the senior pastor who they work with.

Eryn-May Wicks first trained as a primary school teacher and then at theological college. After over 10 years of working full time in church ministry, she is now back in the classroom teaching biblical studies and helping equip teachers for this unique opportunity.

6) Thinking Theologically: Voluntary Assisted Dying

Death isn’t something we tend to talk about in everyday life. But as a Christian, how you live and how you die says a lot about what (or Who!) you’re hoping in. So how do we approach death well? What would you say to a loved one planning to end their life through Voluntary Assisted Dying? Come and discuss what the Bible says about life and death. Together we’ll develop solid principles, delve into grey areas, and cultivate practical skills for bringing God’s truth compassionately to our workplaces, churches, and families.

Sarah Michael works at Albany Baptist Church overseeing serving, welcoming and pastoral care. Throughout her life, she has spent many hours in hospitals, aged care, hospice, and at funerals with friends and family members. As she has taught in schools, studied at Trinity, and started out in ministry, she has continued to consider, pray and reflect on the difference Jesus makes to life, death and dying well.
