Old Testament Lecturer
BSc (Hons)(Neuroscience), MDiv (AUT), MTh (AUT)
After studying neuroscience and working as a research assistant, Ben did a two year ministry apprenticeship with AFES. He then studied for an MDiv at Trinity and returned to AFES as a staffworker at the University of Western Australia, where he spent 13 years. Having completed an MTh he studied for a PhD at Cambridge and is currently wrapping up his thesis on reading Ecclesiastes as a narrative.
Ben is particularly interested in Wisdom Literature, Biblical Theology, and how the two relate. He loves learning languages and is particularly passionate about helping others to read and enjoy the Old Testament in Hebrew.
He is married to Shelley and they have two wonderful daughters.
