Employment Opportunity: Sessional Lecturer in Greek
Trinity seeks a Sessional Lecturer for New Testament Greek A (semester 1) and B (semester 2). Appointment is initially for 12 months, with the possibility of subsequent years, subject to need and availability.
About the Role
We are searching for a sessional (casual) lecturer who will co-ordinate and teach LA005 (NT Greek A) and LA006 (NT Greek B) in our three-year degrees. This will involve face-to-face instruction at Trinity on Tuesday (1 hour) and Thursday (1.5 hours) mornings during teaching weeks of the semester. Availability for three hours of teaching each day of a pre-semester intensive week (2–6 Feb, 2026) is also helpful. The role also involves providing student support and the marking of assessment items, such as vocabulary submissions, class tests, and final exams.
Ideally, the class will be taught from our in-house textbook, although this is open to negotiation. Support in teaching and assessment will be available from the current lecturer.
The candidate will need to be approved to teach AQF level 9 students by the AUT.
