Sessional Lecturer in Pastoral Theology
Don has served at Trinity since 1996 as a lecturer in Bible and ministry, Dean of Students, and then as the College Principal from 2003-2024. Prior to this, Don and his wife Athena were involved in local church ministry, including ten years in a multicultural region of Sydney. Having taught in Old and New Testament, as well as biblical theology and ministry, Don now serves the College by equipping our students in the key areas of preaching and pastoral care.
Athena and Don are blessed with three children and nine grandchildren. They enjoy camping and travelling and are thankful for opportunities to serve in their local church and beyond. They especially value times of encouraging graduates and others involved in gospel ministry.
Don’s main area of research and publication has been the nature and theology of prayer, with a particular focus on the New Testament and the Psalms. He hopes retirement will afford more time for reflection, and writing in this and other areas of biblical and applied theology.
